New mattress is hurting my back and I don’t know what to do

I just bought a new mattress and just got through night 3 on it. My back is killing me, my neck hurts, and I got 3 hours of sleep last night. I have to be at work in less than an hour and I’m freaking out because I feel so crappy. I can return the bed but it’s a pain and also I don’t know what new mattress I could get that would be better. My fiancé is frustrated because I keep freaking out about it when it’s time to go to sleep. Why is it that everything seems hopeless ?

Hi grudgekyoko, Everything seems hopeless because you haven't been getting a good night's sleep as well as being in pain. I know returning the mattress is a pain but not as much of a pain as continuing to lose sleep and continuing to be in pain until it turns into being chronic.

I purchased a new mattress through a home shopping network last October '16. Everything went well for the first 2 weeks. After that the pain from my Fibromyalgia came back just as bad as before purchasing the new one. It offers no support for the lower back and neck and like you I kept thinking what a pain it would be to have them pick it up and return it and then I'd have no mattress for a while. I pulled the receipt out and it sat on my dresser for the last 13 months.

I procrastinated and we all know that gets you no where. So now the 1 year guarantee is expired and I'm still sleeping on this indented mattress causing me pain each morning. It's not worth the little inconvenience right now to spend the next several years in pain. We spend too many hours in bed and need that comfort and rest to make it through each day.
