Why is it that we would rather think our symptoms from anxiety are something horrible like cancer or ulcers or life threatening, than just being ok with anxiety? I know anxiety is horrible it comes with so many symptoms that make everyday miserable, but it won't kill us! It's just crazy how our minds can jump to the worst case scenario even if we have been told multiple times the source is our anxiety!

You said a mouth full. Its so true. We automatically think the worst. And now im wondering if thinking so negatively everyday or just about everyday can make us sick (literally) and if thats the case if we can reverse it and think positive can we make ourself feel better. And if thats the case then we can probably control a lot of things with our minds. Just a thought.

Absolutely! I am going to start my day off with positivity I have definitely gave to much of myself in this dark way of thinking. After all what can it hurt?

You're absolutely right, Wyoming, but our sensitised nervous system exaggerates small fears ten fold or more. That's why.

So true!

I think the feeling that brings on the anxiety is essentially the feeling of illness. That's the one that's hard to get over. If you didn't feel absolutely sick in your soul, then we probably wouldn't be so anxious about our health.

I would say that my high functioning anxiety gives me some advantages. Every time I'm going to do something my brain will automatically run through all the scenarios of what can go wrong. So actually I don't make many mistakes. I'm highly organized as well and because I'm constantly vigilante I've never been a victim of fraud or scams. Of course all this overthinking everything is mentally exhausting and often my fear is out of balance with my reality but I prefer to focus on the positives of having anxiety.

Because nobody has ever told us, what the adrenaline rush does to our body, so we LOOK for things that are commonplace in our world as an answer.

That's true, but it's exhausting and time consuming, instead I'm just going to tell myself don't stop your everyday to Google or ponder on what could happen and just accept what I already know it's my anxiety.. and try to move on

This is my health anxiety in a nutshell. Then if one were to feed into anxious thoughts, more clinic visits , then that’s medical bills piling up , $$$ out the pocket....feeling embarrassed you went. To only hear its anxiety, irritated because you only wanna know WHAT is bothering you , only to not want to accept it’s simply anxiety then yeah upset you have all these bills now . Ugh

But looking for a more calm approach whenever anxiety decides to try and mess with me . I’ll have to be more consistent

It's definitely one of the hardest things I have ever dealt with .

It’s a good thing to get under control. Anxiety, I am told, is one of the big triggers in my condition. It may have even been the environmental trigger to my lupus
