Does anyone have vertical heterophoria ????
Hi : Does anyone have vertical heterophoria... - Anxiety Support
Hi
I had to look it up lol and yes, my left is higher. For the longest time I thought everyone made sunglasses crooked!
Woooahhhh I just read up on it!!!! Do you know I have CONSTANT neck and back muscle issues on one side only, driving anxiety at red lights because with all of the movement around me I get dizzy!!! God Bless you for bringing this to my attention! I do have glasses with a prism for my left eye but hardly wear them! I'm going to start wearing them tomorrow all day and see the difference....🤗🤗🤗😘
Dee I'm sorry I just deleted my comment...I don't have that. I thought you were referring to the way the sunglasses fit. I always seem to have one side sitting higher
than the other. Sorry for the confusion. xx
I had to look it up as well..! And OMG, I've had that for most of my life! I've had constant headaches / neck/ back problems since I was a kid, and have the 'neck/head tilt' when looking at everything / everybody. I didn't realise I'd a headache every day ~ until one day I didn't have one for a few hours ~ then things returned to what's 'normal' for me!
Quite stunning info, thank you so much. The one time I got reading glasses, the prescription seemed so very wrong, that using them made me feel very nauseated and I went back to the Optometrist to complain. I was assured that the Rx was 'accurate'. (???) 😡 It was back in the late 1980's though ...
I still avoid eyesight tests when I can, and I just use the off-the-shelf magnifying type glasses for reading, at least they have a constant degree of magnification, not just one specific area ~ but still I have what's now an ingrained 'tilt' and the discs in my neck / upper spine back are damaged and very painful, and over the years, I moved from headaches, to sinus type headaches, to migraines, to 'cluster migraines' which are very debilitating, even with Imigran for Migraines and Buccastem for the nausea associated with the Migraines.
I really should get my eyes tested ~ will have to get an Optometrist now who knows about "vertical heterophoria" ~ as I'd stopped driving because of the weird"effects" about 7 years ago which I thought were caused by very necessary pain medications I need to take. Apparently now it's not necessarily so! 😊
I'm not sure about my 'distance vision' nowadays, and I'd really like to get back to driving sooner, rather than later, if that's possible, so thank you so much for your Post, Jayde, it has given me hope! Again ~ Thank you! ❤️️ Optometrist, here I come (hopefully!) ... B xx
Yes, I do! I'm going to the Vision Specialists of Michigan to get tested and fitted for Prism glasses.
