Sleepless

Hi. New to forum. Just started on lyrica for panic/ anxiety. Had awful reaction last night and only slept 4 hours. Anxiety is busting through. Feels like the orcs are hammering at the walls and they gonna crumble soon. I know it takes a while for meds to kick in. Nheartbeat so strong. Exhausted but ready for action. Feels like mother of all hangovers.

And???? Not certain if you just wanted to vent, or maybe answers to make your condition change.

All I have is that, yes, anxiety and insomnia are ahuge problems in the US, and it does take quite awhile for some meds to adjust with your body chemistry. Please call your prescribing doctor and explain to him/her what you just posted. Perhaps an answer lies there to help. Each of our bodies has it's own chemistry and maybe this reaction is related to your new medication. Anxiety is a sneaky, nasty, cunning creature. Perhaps it is giving you it's best shot so that you stop taking your new med because it is going to be effective. I have been there, and done that. Call your doctor and keep in touch here.
