I’ve seen a number of posts here regarding taking magnesium glycinate as a possible help for anxiety. I ordered some tonight. I ordered KAL Magnesium glycinate 400. Would like to hear what dose most of you take or would recommend? Is this something I need to take with another vitamin etc?

Question about magnesium glycinate.
Hi there,
I personally take magnesium citrate. It’s in powder form, and you pour in water. It’s called Natural Calm. I’m going to have mine at 10 tonight. 300mg-
I love it 💙
Good luck with yours!
Hi,
I have had this very discussion with my doctor.
In his opinion, magnesium supplementation is unlikely to cure anxiety. He did concede many people do find it very effective alone or in combination with other strategies since anxiety can be due in part, to magnesium deficiency.
My doctor's preference is for me to eat the foods that are naturally high in magnesium. These include:
•kelp
•almonds
•cashews
•parsley
•avocado
•brown rice
•soy beans
• dark leafy greens
• yoghurt • bananas and dark chocolate
The reason is that although eating magnesium-rich foods is beneficial, those foods all have other nutritional benefits too.
The amounts of food recommended can be found in this link

The bottom line is the doctor recommended that I take a magnesium supplement to ensure my daily magnesium levels are up to par only after a blood test to prove they are not.
Consuming too much magnesium typically causes diarrhea as the body attempts to excrete the excess.
I hate brown rice and soy beans but love nuts, fruit, dark chocolate and yoghurt
