I have heard of folks that were able to get off their Anti-Depressants with Things like 5HTP or L-Tryptophan or SAM E. Has anyone ever tried this to get off of Zoloft or any other RX's?
Thanks so very much in advance. You folks are great.

I haven’t personally but I have seen a lot of talk about Magnesium Glycinate. Some people here claim that works as well if not better
Well ill tel you I have used most "magical remedies" the thing that helps me yhe most is magnesium and lavender essential oil although i am not medicated or weaned off anything the kast i told you i was on zomoft in your other post and i atopped that ages ago due to the sensations i had gotten.. any way i started the 5-htp and im only 2 days in and i really am unsure if im getting help fromcthem or not as my anxiety is more of going out of town agoraphobia style anxiety so im unsurr if its working or not haha i have boticed that coffee and either the combo of 5-htp and magenesium are causing me to be a little anxious but that could very well be just the coffee and im not too alarmed about it either haha its most deff to be the coffe as its a stimuli lol
Aren't you just replacing one 'anti-depressant' with another ie Zoloft that was thoroughly tried and tested before being granted a licence for things like L-Tryptophan which have never gone through the same medical vetting process?
Medication has an important part to play in anxiety disorder and depression, specially if it becomes overwhelming, but instead of looking for magic pills I suggest that self-help methods that permanently change our perception of anxiety, and bring about recovery that way, are preferable in the long term.
