Another anxiety question

So again my anxiety started after having my second child, I started feeling out of breath then I thought the worst and I was in the highest state of stress and worry about it for a month until I finally went to get a doctors check up (all clear thank God) and along came a million other symptoms which I'm assuming I brought on from my extreme worry about this shortness of breath, and I have never calmed down since then(apart from a few good weeks here and there but even that was not like how I felt previous to all this) do you think I brought on this disorder by being in such a high state of worry for all those weeks until I went to the doctors? I remember feeling no relief I was just so confused how is it possible nothing is wrong with me,I've never really accepted it's all due to anxiety I guess that's my problem..

Hi Aazz,

This sounds like you are reporting a caffeine-induced buzz.

An excellent article on the topic is in the link below

I hope you feel better soon. If you need to help to deal with your anxiety, you doctor can help you with that too.

Go well

Hey aazz, I believe you were already experiencing excess stress after your 2nd child, which can be a very stressful time for anybody, but especially for a worrier. That's when your body started exhibiting symptoms, ie. shortness of breath. If you had not worried over it, and your stress level was manageable, your body would've healed, however, your worrying was the fuel necessary to keep enough cortisol flowing to cause your nerves to become hyper-stimulated (or sensitized is what Claire Weekes calls it, btw read her book if you haven't). Once that happens, as we all know, it takes a long time of NO WORRYING and eliminating stress to heal. So, since you've been cleared by a doctor, do not worry about anything your body does or feels. You know it's anxiety, it's just a feeling, so accept it and keep right on living in spite of the symptoms. You'll start to see improvement within a few weeks if you can do this. And, love those little ones! Happy mothering...
