New medication... pregabalin.... anyone tried it?

Hi all. Been on the above for a month now and was wondering if anyone else has tried it? My citalorpram is just not cutting it on its own anymore so i was given this to take with it. Im on 20mg citalorpram and 50mg twice daily of pregabalin. Ive been on citalorpram almost 5 years and previous to that certraline which was awful. I was due in hospital for a major operation when my anxiety started getting really bad but all went well and i actually had the op with no calmers etc. (Proud of myself) then we were due to go on holiday 4 weeks later and bang... my anxiey really peaked so doctor prescibed me pregabalin. They do help alot but i feel im relying on them? And really do not know why it peaked so bad? I have taken 2 diazepam in the last 4 weeks(1 on the way to hols and 1 on the way back) which i hate taking but bearing in mind havent taken for 2yrs! I also hate travelling lol. Anyway if there is any advice on the pregabalin pls do reply.x

Yes I was on pregablin for about 5 years up until 18 months ago. Your consumption of diazepam is fine because you used them when you needed them under anxious situations. Like any drug you can have side effects but you have to give them time to work pregablin will be the same. What dose are you on?

50 mg twice a day. So they must have worked for you then? Xx

They did work for about 5 years daily I was on quite a high dose
