Hey, try deep breathing maybe take a seat in comfortable chair and play some light music. You can also try having some tea to relax or go on a light walk

I wish you the best

You should not be feeling that bad! If things get to bad I recommend you going to the ER. I know its very difficult dealing with anxiety and panic disorder but it breaks my heart to know that your dealing with all of this. Seek professional help right away. The worst part is that the minute that you are around doctors the symptoms sometimes subside. Its like a blanket of protection. You fell like if something happens to you there are people around to help you and that thought makes you feel better and then completely embarrassed for putting everyone through all of that. It's a vicious cycle. Know that we are here for you.

Remember to talk to your doctor on Thursday about a refferal to see an electrocardiac specialist, Agora1 gave you the correct title. Meanwhile I want to tell you what happened to me today because I think it's relevant to your situation.

Today was particularly stressful for me: I had to drive a round trip of 260 miles to visit one of my grandsons in an open prison in Suffolk. It's a part of the country I don't know well at all, last time I went there I got lost and ended up in some marshes. Then afterwards I had to go to a birthday party for another grandson. All this I found stressful and on the way there I felt a bit breathless, I knew my heart was skipping some beats. When I arrived I checked my pulse and sure enough I was missing one beat in 4, 8 or 15.

But I've had it before in anxious situations and I knowvit's anxiety so I felt no fear, I just accepted it. The meeting went well but I was still getting missed beats on the way home and at the birthday party. When I got home after midnight the day's work over I checked my pulse and I've just checked it again. The missed beats have all gone, my pulse and heart beat are normal and regular once more.

I know that my heart flutters are nowhere near as troublesome as yours but the lesson is that anxiety causes missed heart beats and by not letting it generate fear they quickly went.

Jeff1943 did you mean Suffolk in England ? You did well to do that journey but a inspiration to us all .you was feeling stressed/anxious heart was missing beats etc.yet you did the journey and visited your grandson and went on to another's party even though you wasn't feeling great.well done for accepting your symptoms and proving once you got home it all started to calm down and return to normal.I'm sure this will encourage us all to still go out and about and not let our anxiety stop us doing things.

Thanks Jesse, yes Suffolk in England. I love driving, now I know the way it won't be a problem next visit, it shouldn't have been a problem yesterday but a tendency towards anxiety magnifies small things out of proportion as we know. As I say, I knew the missed beats were anxiety as I've had it before and I knew it would pass so felt no fear, it was just so predictable that the heart beats returned to normal as soon as we arrived back home.

The stomach is the part of us that reacts to anxiety most frequently and I'm sure this is your stomach responding to your fear about your heart flutters. Mention it when you see you GP in the week but I don't think it is anything to worry about. Eventually you will lose your fear of the heart flutters and the other bad feelings they cause and then your heart beat will return to normal and all will be well with you again, I know this to be the way.

the heart cant cause burning in the stomac can it? really scared. and i will

No, your heart can't cause burning in the stomach but anxiety and feeling scared most certainly can by causing our stomachs to produce to much acid as Sandy 1710 points out. We need some acid in the stomach to help dissolve food we eat but when we're anxious it produces too much and that's the burning you feel. Although it's uncomfortable and worries you it's not going to harm you, you have to have too much acid for months and months before it causes problems. So if you've still got it when you see the Doc tell him about it, in the meantime I think you'll find that anti indigestion tablets as sold in chemists and the chemist section of supermarkets and stores and even Poundland should counteract tge excess acid and stop the burning feeling. Believe me, there's nothing to be scared about, you're going to be o.k.

sometimes it feels like a rush of warmth though... like it can happen when my heart flutters sometimes or just on its own, or if i think abut it happening it will happen

May have acid. I take tablets for acid now as that can really mimick heart attack symptoms!

For some people anxiety has an odd symptom that makes you feelcthere is a lump in your throat i have only heard of a few individuals that had this symptom you could be one of them i can say this if you havent swallowed any food recently you should be fine if you have stridor or wheezing you may need to goto the ER but stridor usually is when you have something foreign in your throat such as you were choking on food and a little piece is still in the throat but not bad enough to mkae you stop breathing wheezing is like asthma i presume this is just anxiety though hang in there buddy i have health anxiety too and i worry every little sensation but when it is our time it is our time.. we must accept it unfortunately there are times when i wanna choose my own fuckkng time

Dear errivbr4678778

Please don't be afraid of feeling fluttering and your breathing too being all over the place / anxiety causes that to happen and I reckon almost every one of us Anxiety sufferers get that feeling when we least expect to have it - thing is - the more we let it beat us - the more it happens and gets us panicking - I was told to " breathe a L O N G breath then blow it out real slow n keep doing this counting to five as you breathe in and five as you blow out - this definitely works pal x give it a try 👍

Take care 🌹

Yeah son I did and still do get that quite often especially when I am stressed to the max - I also get that burning stomach thing which is actually above my stomach it's in the middle of the bottom of my rib cages where they meet each other - caused by over production of acid in the stomach - it DOES feel like having a heart attack for me because I have something called Barrets Oesophagus son - didn't start off with that though - it was only acid in my stomach being over produced because I let stress get to me and didn't think about it until it got worse - Take antacid tablets son - you can get them over the counter at some shops And Definitely from all Chemists .

Sweetheart try and take things ONE thing at a time - space things out and don't try doing everything at once - No one can be super-humans and we would all LOVE to be able to fix what is going wrong for us with a flip of a switch - it's not that easy but dealing with it - without tripping ourselves over - makes it so far easier . One step at a time ok 👌

We do care about you.
