If your doctor checked you over for rapid heart beat and shortness of breath and all was fine then that only leaves anxiety. You ask whether you should be worried? The answer is that you are already worried about something and that is what has caused these very common symptoms of anxiety. If you can identify the cause of your worries and successfully address them so much the better.

Either way, here's how to respond to these symptoms of anxiety: you haveto stop fighting the symptoms and accept them for the time being without fear. Without fear? Of course, you know they are not symptoms of physical illness because your doctor has told you so. That means they are the result of your nerves playing tricks on you. They are merely glitches in your nervous system caused by worry and stress, they are fake symptoms in fact. Although they may feel real enough to you never forget they are fake, you have no need to fear fake symptoms because fake symptoms can't harm you physically in any way.

So I say again, katlynwestbury1, simply Accept these symptoms of anxiety calmly and with the minimum of fear that you can. Stop obsessing about them and constantly checking for them, neglect them in fact, and because you are not adding more fear to your over sensitive nerves they will quieten down and your rapid heart beat will return to normal and your breathlessness will pass. So just Accept the symptoms for the moment and you will recover and feel your normal self in due course.

Thats what I have, for me its caused by anxiety. More than likely that's what it is for you. I'm not sure if you've struggled with anxiety before, or if this is new for you, but anxiety can come out of nowhere sometimes. Keep an eye on how ya feel, if it gets worse or is completely unbearable, it might be best to see a doctor.
