Burning head pain
Hi Gloria_carr, that sounds about right, tension headaches. When the muscles in the back of my head and neck get ever so tight, it turns into a burning type pain. I use heat on my neck and shoulders to bring down some of that tension from the muscles. Some people use ice packs. Whatever may work for you. Relaxing and doing some meditation can help making sure you bring down your shoulders. They are usually almost touching the ears from stress. As for when you are lying down, I have a special pillow that supports the back of my neck in this way eliminating a lot of the pressure on the back of my head. There are a lot of little tricks that I've learn along the way to help alleviate pain mostly through occupational therapy. Whatever works for you. The main thing is not to be afraid of what you are feeling. That only exacerbates the pain level. x
P.S. You can always reach for Ben Gay and rub that on your neck. The cool soothing burn from the cream will make you not feel the burning sensation from the tight muscles. Feel better
