sertraline and passing out

So i went to doctors yesterday and they have started me on 50mg of sertraline a day.

I didnt get very much sleep last night and woke at half 3, i went downstairs for a cigarette as i felt on edge (i know not the best idea) and the next minute everythibg went black and i found myself on the kitchen floor being woke up by my dog.

Just also had a vomiting fit as my stomache was churning.

Im wondering if this is to do with the sertraline?

Now getting better seems like it may be a lifetime.

Hi,

Some people have reactions or different reactions to new medication because every body is different - just look at the list of possible side effects published .

Mostly these side effects stop or decrease to the point where they do not cause big problems. Keep taking the medication for a few more days. If the side effects persist, ask to take something else. There a quite a few in the doctor's toolkit.
