I feel sick when I eat in public!!

Everything started 7 months ago, it wasn't like this before. I ate something and I got a very bad stomach bacteria, i was sick for 15 days. Those were the worst 15 days of my life I was nauseous from the moment I opened my eyes till I went to sleep, if I didn't eat I was nauseous if I ate I was nauseous. I probably threw up more then 30 times when i was sick. Note: I really hate throwing up. So now that am all better I don't have any bacterial issues am healthy as doctors tell me, when I eat in public or any other place that is not my house I feel like am going to get sick and throw up, it worries me so much that if I don't control myself it actually happens. I try not to think about it but is just behind my mind I can't help it. This is consuming my life is destroying my life. I don't know what to do anymore I just want to wake up and all be gone.

Hi there, I have the EXACT same thing. I have an irrational fear of vomiting in public. About a year ago I vomited at a fancy restaurant and since then I have had this intense fear of vomiting. I can't go out to eat, I can't eat a meal around anyone, I can sometimes barely even eat alone. I have lost weight and I almost always make up an excuse to not go out to dinner with my boyfriend or friends which I feel awful about. I don't even enjoy the meals that I used to enjoy anymore. I feel your pain

Well that really sucks, I know it. I hope you feel better soon, as I know this could be a torture to live with.
