PIP Appeal

Hi folks. I'm a newbie but would appreciate advice/thoughts. I'm preparing to attend PIP appeal & have gotten copies of all DWP evidence. They're asking Tribunal to award me zero points on all descriptors. Should I be worried or is this a tactic re: Personal Independance Pittance? My disabilities are invisible ones (brain injury; extreme unstable epilepsy; severe depression/suicide risk.

Tell the bastards that you'll kill yourself because the stress is making you so depressed and unstable that you want to end your life if you can call it that.

I wish I could help you but I can't even cope with trying to claim it. I have an agrssive form of Crohn's disease, perforated bowel, colostomy bag. Collapsed lung. All last May, I know they don't want you to have it. The genuine people usually get nothing. I hope you find the answer you need to help you get it. I have heard theyvturn you down the first 2 times. It's disgusting that really poorly people are having to go through all that stress for a small amount of money.

Hi Angep & good of you to reply. TheAssessor's report is full of lies. The contract is worth £51m so I see where they're coming from. Only hope the Tribunal can see the state I'm in.

Aww bless you!! I know the people they choose to be assessors have to fit very strict criteria!!! my friend had to go before a tribunal and she was in bits!! She ended up hysterical!!! Sobbing all over the place. She said it was. Like she had commuted a crime and they were judging her!! They told her straight away she would get it just to get rid of her I think. She got into loads of debt along the way because they stopped her money. She borrowed, used all her savings which she'd been left after her parents died. There's a lot of genuine people out there who need it but then you get those who got disability allowance because they could!! And as usual that then affects those who do need it getting it. I work 4 days a week only 20 hours but it feels like a 100. Maybe one day il try. Don't give up though, you've come so far 👍😁

You should at least apply Angep - many folk aren't assessed as the medic reports are enough. I'll act as your "Adviser". I'd rip them to shreds!

You won't, they are targeting everyone, it's not personal, outworked to unqualified personnel who haven't a clue.

It is thought (!) having a chat over coffee they realised the functions to be contracted out! If they could find assessors from nurses etc the rest could be worked out fairly simply. Much the same way Community Action saw the advent of training companies.
