Question for the knowledgeable

Went to a follow up to get the results of my genesight test and my folic acid was not where it should be. Was given a months supply of something called L methyfolate Ca. She said it would boost my mood and help a lot with anxiety and depression also. Does anyone have experience with this? It's expensive since it's a vitamin and not covered by insurance. Just wondering if anyone knew anything about it. She also gave me Pristiq which is supposed to not have many side effects since that's a fear of mine.
