Hey does anybody have a cat by any chance. I'm noticing my cat has been VERY clingy, more clingy than usual. Could it be that he picks up on my anxiety? I know this is a weird question but I'm just curious if anyone else goes through this.

Yes. They notice if they are used to you being different....they depend on you. Just enjoy the warm fur for awhile but get better soon.

I have a service dog for PTSD and he can read me like a book.

Our cat will stand on his back legs to be picked up like a child under his armpits and often when I'm laying on the bed in nausea and panic he will get up on my stomach to sleep. Cats can pick up on your mood etc just like service dogs. I call Bailey my Therapy Cat!

I sat down to have a good old cry one day and my cat got up from a really cosy snooze to come and snuggle up to me Then when I recently went into hospital for an operation my husband said she slept on my side of the bed the whole 4 nights I was away and usually at night she has a different sleeping place I'm sure they know

Enjoy the love and snuggles cats are so comforting and stroking them reduces anxiety 🐈

Yes, he does take my my mind off of a lot of things. I had him for 13 years but I was away from him for about a year this past year, He just started being clingy. It's sweet.

They certainly do know when we need a hug or support. Cats are very intuitive. They also like to lay on us when we are unwell because I think they feel they can take our pain away. Maybe they can? They're wonderful creatures regardless.

So true, it seemed like that's what he was trying to do, he curled up under me all night.
