Magnesium?

I brought the idea of taking magnesium up to my Dr and she said it would be ok for me to try it. I took 500mg and am feeling less anxious. Has anybody tried magnesium and if so, what are your stories with it?

Yes! I've been taking Natural Calm, which is a mag citrate powder. I take a teaspoon every night in chamomile tea. I also take a teaspoon of inositol power in the morning in a glass of water.

YAS... i discovered magnesium after doing some research(and awesome people from this site told me about it) about recovery stories from depersonalization/derealization since I been in this hell for over 9 weeks. Long story short, Zoloft didn't work for me and I was on it for 6 weeks and came off it 5 days ago. I went to the vitamin shop and bought a bunch of supplements one of them being magnesium glycinate. The first day after taking it I felt better then I have felt in this 9 weeks of hell. And I had some pretty good days after that. So yeah I'm all for magnesium. Also there is kind soul here on this site that is a magnesium God. He has giving me tons of info. I will find his name for you.

davewavy1 That's his name

Its nickname is " the original chill pill" it's helps alleviate anxiety symptoms. For me, it has made my anxiety less intense. I take 500mg once a day (with dinner) to help me sleep better. Its best to ask your doctor about taking it as it can mess with any medications you might be taking.

Yes! Great for heart health. I was put on a beta blocker for my racing heart and hated it. I felt so lethargic. The mag has definitely helped.
