It's always nice to talk to a phycologist.
I said the exact same thing I didn't want to take the meds. But after debating for three months and I was feeling terrible. The pressure in my head, dizziness, lightheadedness, confusion, the fear had me not wanting to go outside and enjoy life not to mention I had a seven year old. So after talking to my doctor I've decided to take my meds Sertraline 50 mg which I am doing great after almost four months in, I'm feeling better than I was before. I can not tell you to do anything but your life would be easier. Find the right medicine that's right for you. It want be easy the start but your body will get adjust to it. Good luck
