Just completing my homework for my therapist session tomorrow and worries reappeared when having to write about reasons for panic attacks. Thank God for imipramine medication. My third session of CBT. Anyone else on CBT.

Hi Tony95, I was on CBT. It's hard work but worth the results. I can understand how addressing the reasons for panic attacks can put you into that realm of anxiety. Face the fear. Wishing you a good session tomorrow.

CBT is based on the concept that your thoughts, feelings, physical sensations and actions are interconnected, and that negative thoughts and feelings can trap you in a vicious cycle.

CBT aims to help you deal with overwhelming problems in a more positive way by breaking them down into smaller parts. You're shown how to change these negative patterns to improve the way you feel.

Unlike some other talking treatments, CBT deals with your current problems, rather than focusing on issues from your past. It looks for practical ways to improve your state of mind on a daily basis

I was referred by my doctor however the waiting list was long so my employer paid for me to attend a private hospital.
