Hi Rik1233, It sounds like you may be over breathing which is causing your hands to feel like pins and needles. Start my sitting in a relaxing chair, closing your eyes and start deep breathing slowly (belly breathing) Inhale slowly by extending the lower belly, hold it for several seconds and blow out slowly through your mouth.

Another thing you can do is get a brown paper lunch bag and start breathing into the lunch bag, it will help with the pins and needles feeling as well. Good Luck

thank you i will try this now, do you think because of the pregnancy my hormones will be all over the place so i will be even more anxious?

Oh you're pregnant? Could possibly be that hormones are causing you to be more anxious but it's best you asked your OBG... Feel better.

Rik1233, that would be a better idea since we are not doctors. We are only relating what we do for ourselves.

Give your OB doctor a call, I'm sure they have an in call doctor who can re assure you, but probably just body changes. Hope all is well

Hello! In my opinion you should try to get to the root of your anxiety. Write in a piece of paper why do you feel anxious about. You will be able to see what can be easily solved. Anxiety is basically fear without the presence of real immediate danger.

Maybe something related with the fact that you are going to be a mum? So many changes...

(Congratulations by the way!)

And if it's something that you can't solve as soon as you feel fearful just breathe in and out. Calmly. Accepting.. and it will be gone :)

Other advise is: after doing the breathing exercises the difficulty continues and even triggers more anxiety is to see a doctor (because you are pregnant).

I just thought of something else that may be giving you these feelings, since you are always in new positions leaning over your baby and lifting and holding baby in awkward ways that your body is trying to get used to, you may just have strained some muscles. Also a friend if mine told me to sit in a very warm Epsom salt bath with a few drops of lavender oil to rekax
