Its a mind game so tbh only you can control it its hard to deal with but honest youl get there. Its just a fear nothing bads going to happen even tho you mite have symptons what feel as tho there slowly killing you but honest there wont its just the more you worry the worse youl get and the harder it is to deal with. But this community is great were all together your not alone

Hi,

Thanks for your reply. It's so hard cause up until October this year i had never experienced anxiety. And now i can't seem to shift it! I have recently been diagnosed with being B12 deficent so don't know if that could be a contributing factor or is it it's my contraception. I am on the implant and also the pill as i was having irregular bleeding. I am getting this taken out in the next few weeks so will see if there is some sort of improvement.

Thanks

the best advice I have ever read if you have health anxiety is NEVER GOOGLE your symptoms!!!! I have health anxiety also....been to every dr out there, I am now just focussing on being as healthy as possible..(just have to some how resolve my insomnia issue)..If you go see hypnotherapist please let us know how it worked..take care :)

Thanks for your advice, and from past experience over the last month or so i have learnt not to google your symptoms! Makes things a hell of a lot worse. I will let you know, i most probably will go for hypnotherapy but just need to save up now but i will let you know my experience.

Thanks again 😊

Well they say to not focus or give your symptoms any attention which is very hard to do but the more u focus the stronger it becomes.

Hi Natty91 I'm fairly sure i suffer from health anxiety due to the obvious anxiety related symptoms I'm going through but without the anxiousness. Countless times I've gone to the doctors asking for them to check this or check that and everything has came back clear except for funnily enough B12! I too had a B12 defeciency but after raising my levels most of the symptoms went except for again the ones relating to anxiety.

What kind of symptoms do you have and do they get worse when you're stressed?

Nathan

Hi Nathan,

Sorry to hear about how you've been feeling. I get an upset stomach now and again, i can feel really sick after eating and can get tummy upsets randomly. I also get a heavy/tight chest now and again or problems breathing. The only other thing i get is that i can suddenly without reason have an outburst of crying uncontrolably and have no reason why.

The anxiety has not improved since having my B12 loading doses but i do seem to have more energy and find it easier to get to sleep.

How have you been feeling?

I too noticed that only certain symptoms improved after B12 treatment like, pins and needles in my fingers, the fatigue, my sleeping, flaky scalp, and mood but the thing that concerns me is my cognitive functioning, which in the past 18 months since all the symptoms started is the only one I'm worried about. The symptoms you just mentioned do sound like they're coming from the anxiety and not the B12 as having a B12 defeciency can cause symptoms to be more noticeable which in turn keeps you focused on them. Have you tried meditation or speaking to a psychiatrist?

Im thinking of seeing a hypnotherapist, it's just expensive so need to start saving. Have you tried anything for yours?

Well i was diagnosed with general anxiety disorder 5 years ago and had it under control within 2 years but 18 months ago i had a massive meltdown and totally flipped due to everyone putting their problems on me, my best friend at the time kept on manipulating me and my then girlfriend was a bitch, the job i had was stressfull aswell so i think a build up of all them things tipped me over the edge and after that i completely shut down and i think that's where my symptoms have emerged from but because I've been in denial due to not feeling anxious at all the symptoms have persisted. Well now I'm trying to be calmer and not stress out as much ideally i want to stay away from anti-depressants but if it helps the cognitive issues then i might give them another go as i do feel more stronger now then i did when i first went on them.

But when i first had it under control i was under a psychiatrist and also attended a self help class once a week to learn about deep breathing and relaxation techniques
