Derealization/depersonalization

Hello! I'm Paige, I'm just a teen going through some hard times. I've been dealing with derealization for as long as I can remember, all day, everyday. But today it's worse than usual, this morning I woke up from a pretty strange dream and everything seems very different and unreal, depersonalization has started too. I can't seem to shake it no matter what I do or how hard I try. Any tips or advice?

painoewon, it wounds like there is a lot going on in your life that brought you to this place of derealization and depersonalization. Anxiety is the cause of playing every card in it's hand, this being only one of the symptoms. When our minds get over stimulated with thoughts, we escape to a place that doesn't exist and that's why it feels unreal, because it is.

We need to get back to the PRESENT. We need to ground ourselves in order to feel secure in who we are and where we are.
