Scared of racing heart beat

Hi - I've just started taking 5mg of armitriptyline as have difficulty sleeping due to anxiety.. I've had a couple of beers with friends earlier today about 5 hours ago - been in bed few hours and my pulse is racing and I'm so hot and really scared as it does say no alcohol on packet but doctor never mentioned anything.. think I'm going to have to stop taking until after festive period as maybe alcohol is making my symptoms 10 times worse.. never been boiling hot in bed before in winter .. any ideas please?

Yup ypu dontdo alcohol after any anti anxiety or anti deprssant

I have started to take the same medicine and it is really helping me. I have to take two at night but it is worth it.
