Sad and stuck

Hi everyone I am new here I just was wondring I take esctiolphram 20mg for 2 years my dad has been sick and passed yesterday the week prior I was given clonnazopam I hate taking it I go back to doctor Tommorw thankgoodness does any one have advise maybe a diffrent add that could calm me down that I could talk to the doctor about thank you.

Brenda2012, I am very sorry to hear about the passing of your father. My deepest sympathy. Why do you hate taking the Clonazepam (Klonopin)? Are you experiencing side effects or tiredness? Your doctor would be the best judge of what to take but I would say to get you through this most difficult time, Xanax or Valium might work faster in calming you down, but it should only be used for a couple weeks so as not to get dependent on it. Talk with your doctor about some other options he can give you. Come back to the forum and talk with others who have gone through losses to help you. I don't take it because I don't want to get addicted to it so I guess I am afraid of it. And thank you

Brenda you won't get addicted if it's just for a couple weeks. But I do hope your doctor can suggest something else to calm you.

So the doctor went well I have to take the clonazopam everyday once a day until I deal with the loss of my dad and stick with my 20mg of esctiolphram
