hi my daughters 19 and is suffering with panic attacks and depression.her doc has given her a prescription for sertraline but shes read that is can make it worse,has anyone else been on this drug ?than

Hello I was on sertaline for 6 months it helped me so much that I had to get off it beacuse I felt great but made me so tired and sleepy I think she should give it a try

I tried it when it first came out, & not only did it make me feel more anxious, & felt sick as well, & had to take maxolon for the nausea.

I was givin sertraline 6 years ago and it has really helped so much.. i use to have really bad health anxiety where i was going to the hospital 2 or 3 times a week thinking i was dying. The doctor gave me that and i havent had much anxiety. I mean i still have my days but nothing like it was at all. I felt really anxious and weird the first week or so when i started taking it but after that i was completely fine.

I was prescribed it about three years ago and stopped taking it about a year ago and I didn't have any anxiety when I was on it. I stopped taking it because it seemed to 'numb' my conscience... Like I didn't really have much empathy for others and basically just cared about myself, but I never got mean or anything. It just basically numbed every emotion I had, except for happiness. I was pretty happy on it. I am actually thinking about going back on it, because my anxiety is so bad now, I can hardly function daily. I'm having trouble working, sleeping, and my relationship feels like it's falling apart because I'm becoming so dependent on him... I always think I'm dying and I'm constantly focusing on how I physically feel. Icco stay think I'm dizzy and am going to pass out, I think certain foods or even supplements could kill me, and I am terrified of caddy now. But I remember when I was on Zoloft I could drink coffee all day and feel absolutely fine. I think she should drf at least give the Ziloy a try.
