Feeling a bit anxious side effects of sertraline

I am feeling anxious today trying not to let my loved ones know so I don't bother them. I am on day 6 of 100mg sertraline so I know that this is relatively normal. I am moving by the first of the month and I start a new job on Monday so I'm going through some big changes too. I want to show my family that I can handle my disorder and not be a burden. Can anyone else relate?

Spaceship_kid, I can tell you that day 6 on your medication hasn't started to work yet. It takes at least 4-6 weeks to reach efficacy levels. Starting a new job and moving are big life changes and are probably more of the cause of your anxiety levels being high. I wish you good luck on both your endeavors. Once you get settled in your job and new home, the med will probably kick in and you should start feeling better. Take care.

I can completely relate. I'm struggling to explain to my family how much I truly struggle. I want to be able to manage myself but I wish I could stay in bed forever!

I was very anxious when starting lexapro ( similar to sertraline) but I've made it to week 3 and have been ok. You can do it!

I started 50 mg Setraline 6 days ago. Around day 3 my mind seemed foggy but my anxiety shot through the roof! Last night I had a panic attack that was pretty severe. This morning I woke up an hour early to go work to prepare myself for the day I'd have knowing my anxiety was peaked.

Within 30 minutes I began a sever anxiety attack and was sent home. My doctor told me to keep taking it but I'm terrified to go back to work.
