Swaying/Rocking in Sync with heart beat?

When I lean forward I subtly nudge back and forth. It seems in time with my heart beat. Anyone else have this?

I have at times. Nothing bad ever happens but I've wondered if its my high blood pressure acting up.

yes and sometimes when i have a leg in a certain position where it is not resting on something it will sort of nudge or sway back and forth with my heartbeat too as if the blood pressure within is moving it. i think its normal :)

Yes if I cross my legs (in a more feminine way) my leg jolts slightly. Have you always had the rocking? I've never in my life noticed it. Till now!

exactly! i dont know if ive always had it but i only notice it sometimes. i notice it when im sitting crossed legged and my whole upper body will slightly move foward and backwards with my heartbeat just like how you explained in the original post. ive asked friends and family if they experience the same thing but apperantly know one knows what im talking about. i wonder if we're just extra sensitive to certain things?

Yes it really annoys me when others stare blankly at you when you ask them to replicate what you experience.

It also makes me scared that they've actually never experienced it. What is wrong with us? What other symptoms to you experience in general?

i never really took it that seriously to be honest. i get lightheaded easily when i stand, and my blood pressure is on the low side of normal so im not sure what it could be! ive ignored it for years and its never done me any harm :) hope that makes you feel better

OMG yes! I'm so happy you wrote this, I wonder if we are over sensitive to our bodies and notice this, I notice my head move in sync with my heart beat too

i agree that we may be sensitive to our bodies movements!

I wish there could be a way we could get a definite answer for it. I'm exhausted feeling it...

Hey, so way late, I know, but in addition to wondering if you ever got any answers I thought I would share the ones that I got since this was one of the many threads I came across during my own quest for answers and in the hopes that this might help someone else someday.

I’m sure we all know anxiety can deff lead to some super bizarre stuff, also think horses not zebras, but my rocking was actually bc seizures can also be super bizarre.

Yea, me either, but ta-da, over a year later, yup, seizures. For some reason this only occurred to anyone, including me, bc wait what? after I was finally diagnosed with Lupus. They are actually pretty common during the first few years, apparently.

This brilliant deduction was made by my Dermatologist of all people who is really amazing, prolly especially for the VA, when I showed up with your classic butterfly rash that looked very much like road rash after getting stuck in traffic on a extra sunny day.

It’s been confirmed through imaging and what not, but bc I am such a Spring Chicken at, 29 everyone kept trying to shove Psych meds down my throat instead of listening. I supposed that’s the one perk to looking like a Leper- they really can’t get away with just ignoring and dismissing everything as psychosomatica anymore.

Tho, fun fact, some seizures are indeed psychosomatic, so prolly just be ready for that too, ya know?

Still even if they are “pseudo-seizures” that doesn’t mean you’re faking or making it up. I mean, I suppose someone somewhere has, but it usually just means the origin isn’t neurological: it can be from alotta stuff, like migraines, fevers, infections, meds, Lupus etc...

Anyway, the rocking thing is usually associated with Temporal Lobe Epilepsy, which hello, and there’s a lot more to it, but bizarrely enough it is a possibility. I dunno, but I thought I’d share.

Wow. I just started experiencing the rocking. I’m diagnosed prelupus and fibro. I’ve had 3 seizures in my lifetime. I’m 33. First was around 7yrs old, the 2nd & 3rd were more recent. Definitely will ask my neurologist about this. Thanks for posting

Hey, I have this same thing. I am positive it has only been in the last six months as well. I have MS (diagnosed in 2002 at the age of 29), and I’m trying to figure out whether or not this could be related to that. The seizures—I had actually thought of that. I am fairly certain that MS can cause seizures. If anyone has anything else to add, please do!
