Hi Jax78, it is true the longer you are on playing games or even talking can send that adrenaline into high gear. We start breathing rapidly or holding our breath and before long are in anxiety mode. It's one of the reasons many people have trouble falling asleep at night. When you bring your phone into your bed, it no longer becomes a place for peace and calm. Limiting your time may help you feel more calm. Worth a try!

Yes someone on this forum posted about this. I do think there is some truth to this. Especially when they mentioned how constantly strolling and being on Internet and Google may have alot to do with my dizziness or keeping the dizziness around. But i think being on Internet, social media, all of it directly effects anxiety . I personally have tried staying off of Facebook lately and trying real hard to stay off Google .

I am sure nowadays this is definitely one of the main factor to trigger anxiety- but- I developed anxiety in 1996 and did have my first computer and cell phone 5 years later ...surely if you are playing games on cell or pc, you loose track of time and staying up late, etc.

Just as once I was reading books late into the night, now I am using my tablet to play games. Luckily for me I cannot get the internet there. I have tried leaving it downstairs, but the temptation, once I wake in the night and the thoughts start going around in my head, is too hard to resist. So now I just make sure the game is as boring as possible and I fall asleep faster.

I do think the internet is worse than just using a screen. Anyway that the outside world has access to your bedroom is a bad thing. Listening to the radio is not so bad as it cannot demand you answer it, but texts, emails, phone calls, all allow people to get your attention. This means you are permanently available and on call. This definitely makes anxiety worse, especially if the person calling you has issues or anxiety themselves, and does not respect boundaries. We all need a sanctuary from the outside world, so that we have time to process the thoughts and happenings of the day, without interruption.
