Hi guys. Ive had a very bad couple of days. Ive changed my diet and i think I'm suffering because of it? or could it be something else? So the last 2 days I've been in bed feeling so exhausted all i did was sleep and sleep i woke up a few times but felt so tired so i went back to sleep. The night before this started a group of lads thought it was funny to flash touches in my eyes and they knew it sends me funny but i told them to stop i went in the house and i felt funny anxious and had dots floating around and a major headache also felt dizzy with it could this be why i felt so exhausted? at the time of feeling exhausted i didnt feel anxious but i felt so dizzy. Ive also cut out sugary drinks and chocolate and started eating healthy fatty foods I've got rid of i use to drink energy drinks all the time about 3 cans a day everyday as i use to enjoy drinking them maybe could be sugar withdrawal? or maybe sugar diabetes? I'm going to book an appointment at the doctors because i can't get my head over how much I've slept the last two days. I know my anxiety makes me feel shattered but this not this shattered I've also noticed the vision in my right eye kept going blurred Just wondering if anyone has had this with there anxiety?

Hey there, sounds to me your body is adjusting to the changes you've made. Specially if you've done it suddenly not gradually also don't forget that sorry and panic will exhaust you! You may not think it but it will. See the doctor tell them how your feeling make sure you mention how much sugar you had so they can check you. If all is okay you'll know it's just anxiety. It probably is but it will settle your mind to talk to a doctor :)

Well i slowly stopped the energy drinks haven't had them for months but then i stopped my crap diet with junk food etc but i know theres something isn't right how can anyone sleep for 2 days?

Anxiety can cause vision disturbances but its best to get checked out in any case, your doing the right thing by seeing your gp, try not to worry to much, we know there's lots of different symptoms related to anxiety, so go for the check up and take it from there :-)

Yeah i was looking about that with anxiety online. I also googled my symptoms which is stupid i know but the first thing that came up was MS and got me really worried.

Definitely DONT google, its impossible to get a proper diagnosis just by googling your symptoms so don't worry yourself by doing it, anxiety and Google is a bad combination, your own gp will examine you :-)

I've known people sleep for ridiculous amounts of hours when suffering from anxiety, it could be just a combination of change in diet and anxiety, don't worry, see the doc :-)

I seem to have anxiety quite a lot. Thought Anxiety could just come and go in waves but it could just be the anxiety doing weird stuff to my body i guess. Feels like I'm sleeping my life away but even tho it just feels like i need the sleep. My sleeping has never been good anyway tbh i can't sleep at night but i can sleep in the day I've always been like that might just be my body clock who knows ill see my doctor about it.

Yeah and its very easy to upset your body clock with changes in sleep patterns, I've always been able to sleep better during the day too, my mum always said I could sleep the clock round given half the chance :-) don't worry, just see the doctor and then take any advice he gives you, in the meantime if your tired then sleep, you may even just need to commit yourself to a beter sleeping routine? wait till you've had a chat with the doc first :-)

From what you wrote a sugar withdrawal sounds about right. I also struggle with physical symptoms like dizziness, headaches, nausea, and feeling tired on a daily basis and its really sucky (even when I have no reason to be anxious I feel like that). Maybe your body needed some time to rest after the diet change so it made you feel a little dizzy or tired, but because you are focused on how you feel, the symptoms became exaggerated. I have a lot of issues with feeling nauseous, so any little feeling in my stomach becomes much more exaggerated because I am worried about it. I hope that made sense:/. I'm sure that you will feel better soon!!

Hi macman_92, believe me when I say I know the feeling of cutting out sugars and chocolate. Your body is looking for that sugar high and you cut off your supply, so your body goes into a slump and feels tired. For me, I get agitated when I cut off my chocolate for a few days. It will all even out in several days. Hang in there.

Sounds exactly like me . The vision in my right eye messed up and I'm also having problems with sugar . I got tested for diabetes and am waiting on results. In meantime I also got my eyes tested and the right one is significantly weaker which is causing stress . So that could be something to check out . My eyes are healthy so I'm thinking anxiety has something to do with it as well
