Sensitive to touch... Weird symptoms.

Hey all. I've noticed something really strange recently and was just wondering if anyone has experienced this recently or anything like it?

I've realised that particularly when I am most symptomatic, my body becomes REALLY sensitive to any touch or movement?! Like if I put any amount of pressure (even having a seatbelt on has caused it) on my abdomen or chest or back of head etc. I have a massive like surge feeling throughout my body (I know this sounds like a load of bs but hear me out) that seems to exacerbate the lightheadedness and all the other usual symptoms for a few seconds? I was sat in the car on the way to the doctors (just for a change) yesterday freeling pretty awful, and every speedbump or everytime my seatbelt rubbed on my stomach or chest area, made me feel worse?! It's very hard to explain but I guess if anyone's experienced this you'll know what I'm on about! It's savage.

I get random stomach and muscle contranctions quite often (like, everyday) particulary during and after eating or any kind of exertion (walking up stairs etc.) so I dunno if that might have anything to do with it? I'm just worried that there's some sort of swelling etc. in hat area that's 'causing these sensations when irritated. You know how good ol' health anxiety is!

I've had bloods taken today for a FULL blood test, and I'm in again on Tuesday for another ECG and a laying/ sitting/ standing blood pressure test so maybe they'll give me some clues. In the meantime, if anyone knows what's going on it'd be massively reassuring to hear from you as this is REALLY 'causing me a tonne of worry on top of everything else! Cheers x

I experience the same thing when my anxiety is much higher then usual. My t-shirt gently touching my skin even causes it. From my research and by talking to other people, it is all anxiety. Some of us are way more sensitive to EVERYTHING than others. I know I am, for sure. Especially, during times of extreme bouts of anxiety.

Y'know I thought this one was so rediculous that there was NO chance of getting a reply ;L I'm very sorry to hear that you're going through the same thing obviously but it's a megaton of weight off of my shoulders knowing that I'm not the only one! It's such a weird sensation, and makes all the other "background" symptoms as I call them so much more intense.

Thanks for the response anyway it's helped a bunch. Love your Youtube channel by the way! Stumbled upon it when I was in the initial "frantically googling everything ever" mode and it REALLY helped me on many occasions, so thanks for that as well!

You are so very welcome 😊 I'm glad I'm able to help others realize they are not alone in what they are experiencing....it can be horribly scary! And, funny thing, I actually made a video about this...sensitivity...but I never posted it, lol. I have it on my channel but it's not public....

Yes! I have the same thing I have never heard anyone else say this before. But what I think it is is hyper sensitivity and our nervous system being in over drive so every touch, sound, movement is heightened (fight or flight mode) I think anxiety sufferers are always at a low grade level of fight or flight.
