Feeling low & can't see the light..

I overcame panic attacks & anxiety 5 years ago with Sertraline and CBT & it has returned the past few months with a bang!! It's like a relapse. The last time I didn't go out the house for weeks but eventually overcame it & enjoyed my life for 5 years without any panic attacks & anxiety and gave birth to my 2 daughters. This time I can't see the light at the end of the tunnel. I haven't been out my house for over 3 weeks, the furthest I have went is the garden. I did try last week to go out in the car as a passenger & got round the corner and had to turn back home to my safe place. I really don't think I'll ever be able to go out the house again! It's really starting to take a toll on me & making me feel really low. Does anyone else suffer from agoraphobia?

Ldoc1993, I have had Agoraphobia for 5 years and only more recently have I been able to drive again and go grocery shopping. It's a start but far from being like it use to be. I can't believe the power the mind has to keep someone prisoner in their own home. One day I decided enough was enough and that's when things started changing. I use deep breathing at home as well as in the car and in the store. I practice it everyday and now it comes so automatically. It has turned around the fear which use to lead to anxiety symptoms. I am more at peace. Therapy helped but the final decision had to be mine. x
