Can people with Autism get insanity through anxiety?

I forgot to mention this in my last post but I am diagnosed with Autism. As I suffer from anxiety badly, I'm worried that, because I have a disorder like Autism, will my anxiety cause brain damage and make me go insane or even get hospitalised? As I said in my last post, I now have derealisation and have thoughts on the world and how it seems weird or unnatural to me now and that it's all a dream. I'm extremely worried about this because I fear these thoughts will make me ill or lose my mind! Thanks.

Hello marco133, Is it possible for you to speak to a health professional about your anxietys? I'm not an expert but I think it's unlikely those things will happen to you. Can you make an appointment with your GP and talk to them about your fears? It will help put your mind at rest I'm sure. Once we start worrying we make our fears grow into horrible things sometimes. There's loads of help out there for you don't feel alone My son is on the autistic spectrum No no no it will not cause brain damage or make you go insane Please talk it over with your GP and get some support don't suffer alone you don't need to Good luck 😀🍀

Please try not to worry about going insane. De-realisation and feelings of unreality are all anxiety symptoms. I used to, and sometimes still do, worry about going insane but I remember what a psychologist told me once.. If you're worrying about going insane, you won't. People that are truly insane don't know they are.
