But how does anxiety feel so bad? The feeling of ice and sick, running in my veins and then the disassociation is the worst. I catch myself in it and I was able to jump myself out of it a couple times today, but I got it pretty bad about 45 mins ago.

I'm sorry rockster321, I just saw your post now, hopefully you are past the bad part of your anxiety and are in the recuperating stage if not sound asleep. I find it very wearing when they are bad. Hopefully what ever caused the attack to get so bad whether a thought, a sound, a pain or some news, that's over with. Time to go forward. You have been doing very well in handling anxiety. Give yourself some credit. Take care.
I'm a lot better and thank you for your kind words!
Hi....don't despair, I've had those episodes too. I used to call them setbacks, but with my change to positive thinking I use "growth spurts" instead. If you think about it...we make it thru those challenging days, moments. Don't dwell on it. I have also learned that it could have come on from external things such as lack of rest, something I ate, a stressful day or situation, or even something I heard or saw on TV and God knows there us so much bad in our world. Highly sensitised people have intense sensitivity to such things. Most people just soldier on and think of something else but people who struggled and "work" at living daily are much more sensitive to daily matters, sights, sounds and especially bodily feelings. This too shall pass.. Remember not to dwell on it or beat yourself up asking the big WHY question. It just happened and move forward..learn something from everything. I've struggled with this most if my life so I understand... Get some rest and get your mind busy on something you enjoy.
Have a Blessed Day...
Thank you so much. I've been working on thinking positively but I hadn't thought of them as growth spurts. I really am encouraged by your words. Thank you!
