Anxiety Like the Snowball effect, getting worse and more persistent.

I don't know what to do. Back in February I began having frequent what I thought was allergy induced asthma attacks. My throat was tight and would suddenly close up. I didn't actually think it was asthma since it was in my throat but my doctor insisted. I thought, okay, must be because my allergies are so bad. I cough and sneeze all the time (20 times a day no joke). But the inhalers weren't working. The throat tightness was persistent some times it was there all day nagging at me and others it actually hurt. I had chest pains and general fear. I have been sick of going to he doctor and paying hundreds out of pocket that I can't afford for bills and prescriptions. I've been in the ER at least 3 times.

On the last time back in may Ithink, the doctor told me he didn't think it was asthma. He sat down and talked to me about my life and asked me questions and listened. It was amazing. He prescribed me Twp weeks worth of xanax and referred me to a physician for anxiety.

It came out of nowhere! I lost my job three days ago because I couldn't handle the random chest pain, the lack ofmedication, the shortness of breath and panic attacks.. I was calling in too often apparently which I had only called in three times and they sent me home once because of a panic attack which I told them was asthma. Because I do have Minor asthma but Walmart barely cares about asthma which is life threatening, how would they even feel about a mental disorder? Probably not well. Even with the asthma attack they thought I had, they still fired me even though I had told them about it when I was hired.

I'm at my wits end. It started out of nowhere and I want my life back. Prescriptions are so expensive. I'm on singulair and flonase which costs me $40 a month or more plus I am about to begin taking two more medications. I'm out of a job and barely keeping it together. I don't know what to do. I want to go Back to being normal.

Physical symptoms produced by Anxiety is really amazing. I too have experienced similar chest pains. I have spent loads of money and time worrying about my heart(mostly). Or else it is some other pain which i feel as of course a life threatening disease. Listening others' stories of similar kind is relieving my worries a bit. Still trying hard to think rationally and suppress these thoughts. Buddhist teaching helps me too. You are not alone. Wish you will find some relief soon.

All the Best!
