anxiety rises when sick..

Anyone else notice their anxiety is way worse when they are sick? I felt " off " all day yesterday and noticed I had a lot of anxiety last night laying in bed, which I haven't had much lately. Sitting here tonight and have a headache, sore throat an sneezing a lot. Realized I am coming down with something... its as if my body knew I was feeling off and has been freaking out. Anyone else get this?

Hi, there was a time when I would come down with a cold that I liked the calm that came over me because of not feeling well. It was also nice to take off work for a couple days and just pamper myself. In later years when the anxiety escalated, it wasn't so nice. Every symptom scared me so much that I blatantly stayed away from anyone who was sick. So I know what you mean... x

Yes for sure when you are sick you think the worst that something is really wrong so you start dwelling on it it's line a vicious cycle. Have you been to your Dr and voiced your concerns? Try to have them give you a complete physical and when the results come back that you are fine, trust me you will have peace of mind. Good luck😊

Yep, for sure, especially since a lot of my anxieties are already health related.
