Convinced there is something wrong with me? I had a blood test done about a year ago now and that came back normal.... Would anything have changed? Could they have missed something?

Hello

Sounds like you are suffering with Health Anxiety ?

Blood tests are usually one of the first things the Doctor does and from those tests they can get a good idea if anything comes back not quiet as it should do if they need to investigate further

So a year ago everything was fine which is good if you are still worried there is nothing to stop you asking for another blood test as it has been a year and maybe if you have not spoken to your Doctor yet about how anxious you are about your health and what you believe it could be a good time to mention it and ask what support they can offer you :-)

Take Care x

Thank you that's really helpful, my GP has done ECG's, heart monitors and so far they haven't found anything with that. He has referred me to do CBT I think it's called x

That's great to hear thank you x

I feel like that too! I've had tons of blood tests and the same few doctors for years who both tell me nothing is wrong, I have a normal brain but just anxiety. I'm still not convinced.

I think of new things everyday like ... Brain Tumor, heart problem, I'm currently worrying about having a thyroid problem... It's endless :(

Panickier, that's one of the things I'm stressing out on now, my thyroid. It is so depressing to wake up each morning and start worrying about body ailments. I'm tired of it but yet it keeps happening despite what I do. Sorry for all of us who have that same problem.

My GP has recently referred me to a form of counceling called CBT for a condition of Healty anxiety. Which makes sence. Maybe we can bring on the symptoms by worrying too much? Who knows? But it doesn't stop us worrying about being misdiagnosed :(

I always felt that the first time it happened it came out of the blue.

After that, just the thought of a repeat of those symptoms as well as

being where it first happened, is enough to bring it on. Being misdiagnosed has always been a worry of mine in that I don't trust

doctors anymore. My therapist has been using CBT on me, it's good

but requires some work on our side. It also requires changes to be made and that's a hard one for me to deal with being agoraphobic.

I wish you well.

I think that's the worst part, the fear of having those scary symptoms and being somewhere. It's almost causes a surge of panic while you're out.

You are absolutely right. I rather be alone and not have anyone see me in a state of panic. I think that is why my agoraphobia took hold. I wish all of us well....
