Hi guys, my Dr has just prescribed me 1.25mg of Bisoprolol once a day to ease palpitations. I only seem to be able to find negative reviews for this drug. Does anyone here have experience with Bisoprolol?
Beta blockers : Hi guys, my Dr has just... - Anxiety Support
Beta blockers
Bisoprolol is a beta blocker medication. I have been on another beta blocker for 5 years. It's wonderful. Palpitations are completely gone. Doesn't make me tired. Only
drawback is that it makes my mouth real dry. I looked up your medication and it has
no different reviews than most beta blockers. I would at least give it a try. Getting rid of palps is half the battle. Good Luck!
I'm post ablation for arythmia now but have bad anxiety as a result. I'm on 2.5mg bisoprolol and 20mg citalopram and it was hard to get used to but think I've levelled out now. I split my bisoprolol an and pm and take my citalopram at least three hours after bisoprolol as found taking at same time did not agree. Some find bisoprolol hard I was in 10mg and it does have lots of side effects for some. Try and take it same time every day I find that helps I set my alarm for 6:30am regardless if I'm working or not and then it's 6:30pm for second dose. Hope this helps x
I am on it and swear by it, I have to take it for high bp but I have had no adverse effects, good luck with this x
Hi, The doctor gave me 3.75 of bisoporal for anxiety, rapid heart rate etc. It didn't suit me at all, gave me lots of problems, numbness in my hand and foot ( my one foot was ice cold all the time), crunching in the head, really horrible, in the end i had to see a neurologist due to the crunching in the head and have a brain scan he took me straight of the bisoporal and toid me i should never have been given it as i never had a heart problem and should not have been treated for anxiety with this, despite feeling really ill whilst i was on it my gp insisted that i take it for 4 months . He wasnt happy that the neurologist took me of it but my symptoms disappeared, i am now taking 40mg fluoxtine and it as helped me a lot, no more panic, racing heart , breathlessness etc. I am now living an almost normal life. I changed gps after this as i didnt trust them anymore and now have a really understanding gp who actually listens to me, i hope you find the right medication for you as it makes all the difference.
