Hi, I've taken this and never had any side effects. It did help me for depression and when I stop taking it I didn't have any withdrawal problems either. Hope this helps.

Thank you. Mine is focused on anxiety. Hope it helps. I take Zoloft now but it's not doing anything.

I think I read Zoloft can take up to 4 weeks to kick in. It's suppose to be more beneficial when used in conjunction with CBT for anxiety. Do you live in the uk?

I have had both for about a year. No I live in the US.

There's a book called The Mindfulness Way through Depression you could try. It can be bit heavy going in some places. I'm in a similar situation to you, I have anxiety and depression and I'm currently taking mirtazapine, but it just takes the edge of it, doesn't completely resolve it. So, I bought the book after someone suggested it. It does help and I found it useful in explaining the the way the mind tries to fix depression and why it's mostly unsuccessful. There's a programme to follow with meditation and shows you how gently shift you focus on things

i have tried to get on 4 different medications! Was unsuccessful with each one! The side effects were dreadful! I am know taking many healthy supplements and eating healthy! It's a slow process but I am feeling less anxious and less depressed! Lots of b vitamins!

Trishmarie290 profile image

Kim70 profile image
Kim70 in reply to Trishmarie290

No lots more! Vitamin a for eyes, b complex, riboflavin ( another b), lots of omega 3's ( 4 a day) b12, vitamin d, a great herbal vitamin for anxiety called rhodiola!! Need to get high quality vitamins from health food store! Been working with a natural path for 4 months! When I started seeing him I had so much anxiety! I am feeling about 70 percent better! Just gotta get rid of the eye symptom!!

It does suck. The only thing that helps me is xanax and meditation. 😊
