Hi.

I wanted to know , how do you all get back to your Self , after you go through something? Let's say , you broke your ankle or messed up your knee & couldn't walk for a bit , & took a vacation to relax at your house ..or you had Colitis or a sucky sinus infection or something that totally stressed you out & you had to relax & get well. Ok. Now , you , physically , are healthy & you are wanting to go out..then when you get outside , it's like you gotta get adjusted to things again. Naturally , that's everyone , but for those with anxiety , it's stressful . So, I wanna know if you are in that situation , do share, maybe someone could give advice on here or if you overcame your anxiety to where you've at least adjusted back into going out & don't have agrophobia ..mind lending some advice? I've had a situation where I had colitis , stayed in the house, things healed, but it took me forever , to adjust back into what I like to do , & being outside. Kinda going through that now ..so yeah advice , share your own stories , 💞😊

I know what you mean. After being Agoraphobic for so long, it becomes more and more comfortable to stay in. Rationally though, you realize you can't do this forever. I am slowly finding the stronger part of myself and have been getting out more and more. Oh, I'm not ready to "go to lunch" etc but at least it's a start. Sometimes we get over our fears by necessity. I have an anorexic daughter who is very ill and needs my help. Yesterday, I had to take her to the hospital for a procedure during the morning hours. I really didn't think I could do it. I have not been anywhere in the morning for 5 years. That was a big accomplishment for me and needless to say my daughter had her mom by her side like it use to be. Slow but sure, it will all come back in it's own time. I'm ready to take the next step. (I think) Take care...

Aw that's amazing you were there for your daughter plus able to conquer your agrophobia, at least for situations like that, where your family wants you to support them. But yes, I agree , to be dormant & cooped up in the house isn't fun nor is it healthy in a sense. But best wishes to you on conquering your agrophobia & anxiety 💞
