Does anyone with aniexty feel when they get a bad thought going on they have act on it with positive thoughts and all what keeps coming is the bad thought and you just keeping acting on them if that makes sense

Hi Sally Singh

I think I understand what you're saying. I'm going to be brutally honest here. I have always been plagued by negative thoughts, or toxic thought patterns as some psychologists call them. For most of my life I let the negativity get the better of me and of course it done me no good at all. About seven years go I went to a meditation class out of curiosity, and what a difference it has made to me. It helps to calm down the endless "Mind Chatter" and helps me to be calm. The negative thoughts still come, but as I do the meditation daily I find I can control and banish the negative thoughts more easily. I suggest you give meditation a try. It's best to go to a class as it can be difficult to do on your own at first. Please think about it, as you will be hopefully pleasantly surprised by the results. The negative thoughts affect us all, that's one of the hassles of being human, but meditation can help, and it's also peaceful and relaxing, which we can all do with these days.

Sally, Hi.

I agree with Gordon. Meditation is a proven help in anxiety problems. I have gone through similar, as both of you. Unfortunately the hardest part of meditation to me, is the discipline to keep at it.

My advise to you is go the way Gordon suggests, and persevere.
