Anxious mind, calm body

I don't get it. My body is really calm right now, but my mind is overthinking. I'll just suddenly start obsessing over a thought...

That's a lot of what I'm dealing with ... it's like my head is thinking so fast and spiralling into the darkest thoughts of whatever is on my mind ... I now have a few of those meditation apps which help to re-focus and stop the overthinking and obsessive thoughts and I've also been prescribed 2mg of diazepam for when I can't shake it off but the meditation apps really help to calm my crazy thoughts so well worth a try if you haven't already .

Ha ha you know I'm the same at times but usually if I think for long enough then the physical symptoms are never far behind :-( just keep busy busy x

I have had this all my life, one thing I have learned from the many books I have read is that if we use any of our senses we can stop thoughts and it works,, if you just concentrate on breathing for instance the thoughts stop.. I love this approach and it is just something to use to give some respite during the day then let thoughts come and go and just observe them.. good luck with this xx
