Hi yes they are horrific, have been dealing with them for about 10 years now. I take Imigran which you have to take at the 1st signs & most of the time they work, though for me its in a combination with other pain relief. Mine start with terrible pain & stiffness in my neck & shoulders, & are worse at that time of the month or when under stress. My advice is take the meds, lay on your back in as comfortable position as possible in a quiet dark room until they pass. For me getting an analgesic rub into my neck & shoulders before & sometimes again during laying down helps, as does a cold wet face washer over the eyes.

Thats unfortunately part of them as well hun, you will likely get a slightly blocked nose & with a bad 1 a feeling of pressure in your nose, jaw, cheeks & even teeth & gums with a severe 1. I get these a lot. Some gentle fingertip massage over these areas sometimes helps (done by you only you know how much pressure feels ok to be applied & where to apply it). I also keep on hand a mist bottle of water with about 15 drops of good quality lavender oil which I spray on my clothes & bedding during an attack, adds up to helping along with everything else

ugh it's terrible did you ever feel like you were actually dying from the anxiety and headaches like I'm constantly scared everyday. Thank you I'm going to try the lavender oils that sounds really good☺️

Yes absolutely! I wondered how someone could be in that much pain & be nothing major wrong. Ive learnt to live with them as best I can. I have a 2 year old though & my 15 year old minds him when im severe, but I get fearful of whats gonna happen if I get 1 & she isnt home, so far ive been lucky with the timing. I get all sorts of fears with a lot of my health having fibromyalgia. I use a combination of anxiety medication, lavender (also put that & bergamont in an oil burner) & controlled breathing, & try to distract my mind away from fears by thinking about something that makes me feel happy. I remind myself that im safe, im in my bedroom, on my comfy bed, everythings ok. Soothing self talk helps. I tell myself the migraines & anxiety will pass. & silly as it may sound I rest my favourite pillow on top of me or hold it & spray it with lavender...anything that makes me feel safe while enduring these attacks. Lots of little things add up to helping get through

I'm so glad you wrote to me I feel so much better with all your advice 😊 what have you taken for anxiety medication and has it helped you a lot? I also noticed my oxygen level is high ( I self check with machine at home) but I'm still experiencing some shortness of breath is that normal? I just took an excedrin and it helped tremendously either the migraine but then I felt super anxious afterwards

Your so welcome 😄 I take 5mg of valium (diazepam) for my anxiety & it works most of the time. Sometimes I experience extreme anxiety attacks & it takes the edge off during those. Then I have to get a hold of myself with some calming techniques. I dont know about the oxygen thing or that medication hun you better check up with your dr &/or google that medication for side effects. Maybe dont check your oxygen levels right when your feeling anxious because they may be racing & then that will make you more anxious as you feel somethings wrong, we can panic ourselves & add to our own anxiety you know? So maybe practise relaxed breathing & calm your thoughts with a gentle mantra such as "everthing is ok" or "this will pass" or "I am safe" or something that sounds good to you 😄

Thanks so much!

I will try those techniques! :) there's nothing you take long term? Is Valium for a short while because of its addicting effect

With some illnesses like Fibromialgia they tend to leave you on it long term if the anxiety is going to be a long term problem, which it is as its part of the illness. For someone going through a different reason for their anxiety they may prescribe it short term or something different

Do you want to tell me about the dream? Your at home safe & everythings ok, gentle breathing...in through your nose, hold for 4. Put your tongue gently on your top teeth breath with a woosh out your mouth, hold for 4 to 7 counts, however many you feel comfortable with. Have a glass of milk or water, drink it slowly, its grounding, have a snack. The feeling will pass x

It was someone who died after getting hit my a car, I woke up instantly shaking and couldn't get back to sleep afterwards. I'm trying to breath but it's hard too I'm drinking water slowly to try and relax and took an Ativan just now for a little relief.
