Symptoms

I'm so confused right now. I keep having various symptoms: pain behind eye, blurry vision, weakness, aches, tingling and pins and needles. There isn't a day where I feel fine! It frustrates me so much because I know it's anxiety but my brain is telling me that I AM extremely ill. The reason for this is because I get these symptoms even when I don't feel anxious. Therefor I worry and search symptoms constantly online. Can someone please tell me that this is normal and I'm not extremely ill.

It does sound like you have Health Anxiety as when we do all the reasoning n the world only lasts a short time before we are of again thinking it is life threatening , but I no when we believe there is something wrong it is so frightening & can take over our every thought so much so that we make matters so much worse by asking Doctor Google !

Please stay of there as tempting as it is , it will make you a 1,000 times worse as Dr Google only ever gives the worse scenario and does not have you there to examine you or your Health records to make a proper diagnosis , so all Google does is feed your anxiety , come and look on here and talk instead when you feel the urge to look , it will do you a lot more good to relate to others and no you are not on your own

Have you been to see your Doctor ?

I would make an appointment and tell them exactly how you are feeling so you can start getting some support :-)

    Take Care x

  • Here is a link to a checklist of symptoms of B12 deficiency

    pernicious-anaemia-society....

its symptoms include everything that you mention above - including the anxiety.

It is very difficult to diagnose - not least because the test used to check for it has a huge grey zone where people can be symptomatic but which is still labelled as normal.

If you think it may be a possibility then ask your GP about testing for it - having the checklist ticked off may help - then when the results come back ask for the actual figures and reference ranges and post them on the PAS forum on healthunlocked.

This sight may also be of interest /help as it can be very difficult to get doctors to look for B12 deficiency unless you actually have anaemia but a lot of people have other symptoms well before anaemia develops
