GAD and breathlessness..

Anyone who has been diagnosed with generalized anxiety and panic disorder will know there is a very, very long list of symptoms one feels on a daily basis. Long story short.. I started a new job today an last night my partner was telling me that I kept gasping for air in my sleep. I already know that I was stressed out and that I experience frequent shortness of breath but never knew myself to stop breathing in my sleep like that. Anyone else experience this with their anxiety at night? Im totally freaked out now .. don't want to have fears about not breathing while I sleep!

HELLO, There Were Times In My Sleep That I Would Feel Like I Lost A Breath. BUT Then I'd Had To Realize It's Just My Anixtey. If You Really Need A Piece Of Mind See A Cardiologist To Get A Monitor To Make Sure Everything Is Ok. GOODLUCK To You.

Thank you! am going to see my doc as soon I can and see what she suggests. Even if I find out its nothing I can at least set my mind at ease :)

Weird because I wake up and I'm gasping for air but it's just anxiety ! Like if you have a bad dream your heart races in your sleep and you experience what you would if you're awake. Maybe not as bad but if you know what I mean
