What are you thinking about?

Thats because you are still letting anxiety control you .you can only except anxiety when its not a problem in your every day life

I notice that when my mind is clear sometimes the physical stuff Flairs up and I think this is because the anxiety is trying to get out some way if it's not through your mind it's through your body. Also it takes a lot of work to accept it and it takes some time for your body to catch up to your mind, remember your body is used to feeling the symptoms so just keep at it and remember that you will get set backs it takes a lot of patience.

I recently have been diagnose with anxiety but I just can't accept that it is anxiety causing all of my problems and symptoms. I am 20 years old and have a daughter of 3 years. I just can't seem to go on another day feeling the way I do its been 2 month now. I have a major amount of pressure in my head and face, my ears click and feel full i also get some Whooshing in my ears at times. I have numbness and pains in my body,my eyes are very sensitive towards light and feel very strange at times. I wake up early every morning finding I can't get back to sleep as a feeling of unwellness comes over me and start getting aches and pains in my arms. My neck aches and shoulders ache I have also had muscle flutters and electric shock like feelings on my top lip and in my back. I can't feel my self having any panic attacks realy but just get a sense of something being wrong in my body and a sense of worry. I have also had stomach problems with the bile and acid reflux. Just wanted to see of anyone else experiences the same symptoms with their anxiety as I am unconvinced that it is what is causing me to be so I'll. The doctors havnt let me have any tests except from bloods and eurine which makes me think they are not doing enough to figure out the cause or ruling out other medical possibilities as I have been to a number of gas and A&E but they keep telling me I'm fine and healthy it's my second day on sertraline but I am fobbed off at taking medication after how much medication they have been putting me on for my symptoms. If I knew what was causing my symptoms and had proof maybe this anxiety wouldn't be a problem as big as it is. And I do feel that the more you accept the anxiety it does get worse or also I fond that when I'm looking up mu symptoms they feel worse and also when I right them down. Hope we all get back to our normal selves because I seriously couldn't imagine being like this for the rest of my life and wouldn't wish it on anyone.

Hi Katie! I think this could be part of the problem: I hope I can write this in a way that says what I want it to say: When you say you 'try to let go'... do you find yourself 'checking in' all the time? "How am I doing? Am I doing better.. ? Well, lets see...no...yes... sometimes worse...now I'm worse..." Do you know what I mean?

Have you tried meditation or hypnosis tapes/CDs.... they DO help... especially when you get past the 'no, can't listen now...too nervous.' Nope...don't have time... sometimes you just have to 'do it.' Think about it... you can always return them for a refund... The Brain Sync tapes are good... the HemiSync ones are too and are my favorites. Good luck! :)

I feel the same alot of the time. It's hard because you can't get it out of your head especially if your on you're own. The best way to cope is to talk about it. You may have to live with anxiety just don't think you can't share how you feel. You are not alone.

I live with anxiety everyday. I've had it for 10 years. I'm on Prozac 20mgs. Like, tonight before I got in the shower, I felt really weird and my chest started to hurt. I wasn't thinking about anything. I hate feeling like this. Someone told me to watch what I eat.... Does anyone else watch what they eat and it works? I'm 30 year old female.

Yes, you need to avoid caffeine at all cost and too much junk food, too much sugar. If you haven't already, stop drinking soda, coffee, energy drinks, and other Sugary drinks. If you can't do it cold turkey, then cut down how much you drink. It helped me a lot! And I have other food triggers with junk food, chips, candy, any cake sweets,etc...

I hope this helps a lil and you feel better and get some relief.

I'm trying to cut back on my caffeine. I used to drink diet drinks all the time, until I heard they are worse than regular drinks. So for the passed month I've been drinking regular coke. Going to try and just have one a day then finally I'll stop. I hate having anxiety. I wish there was a off button I could push and just turn it off when it comes on. Thanks again for your reply.

Awesome! Great start, Ashley and keep it up! I'm sorry. I know how you feel. Its just a horrible feeling and like, what the heck body, calm down! I hope you feel better.

This is because when you calm down, it reveals the extent of exhaustion anxiety has caused. Think about it: when you are hyped up on adrenaline, it masks pain. But when you calm down (even days and weeks later) it shows you just what stress has done to your body. So, DONT REACT. Keep staying calm. It's actually a sign of improvement.
