I have the same problem... I hate being with out my partner if he says he off out with the lads for the night I don't like it and kick off as I hate being on my own 😞

I went to the doctors and they diagnosed me with border line personality disorder meaning that your moods can be up and down.

I feel like you do especially on Saturday nights. My boyfriend is the only one in his group of friends who has a long term partner (me). So I wonder what my boyfriend is doing on a Saturday night in a bar with a bunch of his single guy friends while they hit on girls when I am sat at home by myself. It is Saturday night with me-until a 'better offer' comes around it seems sometimes. it hasn't happen in awhile but it will again.

I have learned personally the best strategy for me is to say the truth- oh, I thought Wednesday you always stay over! - but then not get too angry. Because chances are if you do get angry he may stay home anyway or if he changes his mind to come over because you got angry he might just be sulky.

If possible just let him gently know you are disappointed but ask if he can ring you later to say goodnight. And make plans for his next night to stay over. If it happens again I would probably handle it differently. First time- ok. He really might just have a tummy flu and not want to say he has to be near the toilet.

I used to really get super angry and break stuff when I was younger. I have scars in my right palm from when a boyfriend I had over 10 years ago stood me up to go to a meat market bar with his cousin. I didn't mean to but I was holding a glass of water in my hand when he got home and I squeezed it so hard it broke and shards of glass went into my palm. Then I was in pain, needed to go to the hospital and had an awkward story to explain to people why my hand is stitched and wrapped up! I do understand what it is like to feel very angry when a bf steps out a plans you were looking forward to. His choice to stay home likely has nothing to do with him not wanting to stay over tonight. It probably is because he is just feeling a bit down or a bit undertheweather. But I would feel like you do too.
