Hi, I have been constantly lighthead 24/7 since the end of March! I do have a history of Anxiety but never had this with it before. Even when I'm not anxious at all it is still there.

Have you had any tests or are you sure it's anxiety for you?

Hey, this is the same with me! I've been lightheaded since the beginning of June, Ive had a couple of tests and been to the doctors twice and they keep telling me its anxiety! Although I keep telling myself it's not. I also am still lightheaded even when I'm not anxious. Anxiety is a strange thing!!!!

I've had an mri and all sorts of stuff done to check as I've never had this with anxiety before.

Oh amd mine started after a night on the alcohol strangely enough. I'm wondering if I've damaged my central nervous system somehow.

I've been feeling strangely lightheaded since March as well. I know that both anxiety and depression can cause physical symptoms because a few months after the death of my husband I felt really ill but the doctor could find nothing wrong with me.

But I've not felt anything like this before and I've been told it's probably a virus (I seem to feel better for a few days then the symptoms return) plus anxiety.

I am under a lot of stress right now as I had a biopsy for skin cancer on my ear 3 weeks ago, felt terrible before it, better for a few days after, then the would became infected, maybe because some of my hair was accidentally stitched in it, and I'm waiting for the results in a week's time as well as still having some scabbing on my ear.

Maybe it is a virus?

Some of your hair was accidentally stitched in?!?!?! I thought they knew what they were doing at least with the prep?!?!?!

I only had a local anaesthetic so was awake and alert throughout. I expected to have some sort of cap, but I was just told to pull my long hair back and lay on it, then to turn my head to one side. Antiseptic was sprayed on the roots of my hair but a few ends came free. I realised a few strands had been stitched in because I could feel it puling, and told the surgeon. After several attempts to remove it he told me nit to worry as it was just trapped under a stitch. He had to remove and redo the stitch. At home I felt more hair trapped but don't know if that was just under the steristrips or inside the wound but I think I pulled it out.

I spent a week on antibiotics that had to be taken every 6 hours, an hour before or two hours after eating, so I had a week of only able to sleep between midnight and six and having to choose between eating when not hungry or waiting until I was starving.

I suspect that I may have thyroid problems as I have many symptoms of hyperthyroidism for years, but I've only ever had a normal TSH test. My doctor tells me that is all I need, and results were normal but a little low. I know that TSH alone is not enough, but you can't tell doctors.

Sounds to me as though the surgeon was an incompetent fellow. He doesn't have to suffer with his poor handiwork, you do!!

Do you think your symptoms are hyper or hypothyroid, confusing as both include fatigue.

thyroiduk.org.uk/tuk/about_...

In my case my TSH was 7 then 8 and GP ignored complaints of fatigue for years. It was only when I obtained my blood test results over last 10 years and posted them on Thyroid UK on this forum, did I self-diagnose as Hypothyroid. My FT4 was always in the 12 range ( 12 to 22 range) so low. It was only when I took NDT which suppresses your TSH that GP and lab panicked and tested FT3 too. Worth posting all blood test results and symptoms up on thyroid section of this site, in both the hypo and hyper sections, copy and paste and see what people suggest.

Dizzy, light headed, mental fog, though I do have hypothyroidism, but I believe it developed from stress, leading to adrenal fatigue which in turn led to thyroid problems.

I normally feel slightly depersonalized and go through mood swings (when I go through one I notice my depersonalization more), I used to suffer really badly with depersonalization the first time I had anxiety around 4 years ago but it passed after 4/5 months, this time it's not so bad but still noticeable. Also not so much social as what I was before.

it's not a nice symptom but one which eases, the first time I had it I felt like my dreams we're more real then when I was awake and conscious, for anyone that suffers from this no matter how long it takes it will always subside it's just a way off how your brain works. all I want to say is (which is a lot easier said then done and I should know) is to live your life on your best days so at least when you have bad days you know in yourself what you're capable off and that this will pass in time :)
