I get pain at the crown of my head - right on top in the middle - quite often. I believe it is from the tightening of muscles and I usually have a headache when I actually stop to think about it. Stress, tension and anxiety will cause that kind of pain. I actually do a sort of acupressure on the spot that hurts. Just push on it, rub it and I can usually work some of the pain away. I have this pretty regularly .... hope that helps ease some of your fear about it.
