Can what you fear have a physiological effect?

Can What you fear influence the way you feel? Like, if you have a fear of passing out, can you feel light headed and think you will pass out all the time? Or a fear of....well....anything?

Hi,

Yes unfortunately, it is called psychosomatic. It is real pain caused by your brain. That is why anxiety is a horrendous condition. You get most of the symptoms of a real disorder but it is not real. Confusing I know. Let's say you are completely healthy, yet if you have health anxiety you can have all the symptoms of any condition and yet be completely safe. The pain is real and it can be really scary. I hope this helps. Anxiety/panic cannot harm you physically. Always get things checked by your doctor first though. Take care.
