Help plz feel like I'm going mad

So a few months ago I started hearing voices in my head I couldn't cope so I went to docs I have now a key worker and loads of support but it's anoying me as these voices won't leave me alone every one is saying it's my anxiety but I no it's not any advice would help plz oh and also my mum sufferd from schizophrenia before she died

This must be very distressing for you. Schizophrenia is a very serious and debilitating illness, so I am glad you have key worker and that you have support. There are some groups called "hearing voices" I think which do promote relaxation to help calm the voices; there are things you can do. I know one person who said that when they went to a quiet calm seaside place that they visit once a year that the voices lessened; so there are some ways of helping to quieten them and also understanding what they are can make it less frightening. Many years ago my surrogate family lady heard voices , when she was getting old and developed a mental condition where she believed people and family were talking about her, and calling her. It would be meeting with A then talking with B about the alleged swearing so basically the person who was called would be told by B what had been said, this went on until She Died and people realized what had been going on and of course when everyone met they were shocked and felt bad that the condition had not been picked up by those who thought the world of her.

What I am trying to say is you need to be in control of this condition, this can quite effective generally and it will allow the voices to be in control.

One person I knew in a Mental Health Day Centre would play music the voices would really upset her and the radio seemed to control the voices
